2 Wire Electric Inc. was established on may 1st 2001. Dennis and Brian met in the fall of 94'.  They worked together at the Manhattan Unified School District 383 as maintenance electricians where Dennis had been working for several years.  After four months, Brian went to work for a contractor out of St. Mary's.  A year later Dennis applied for and was awarded the head position as the city electrician for Manhattan.  Shortly afterwards Brian joined him.  Together they maintained all of the electrical needs for the City of Manhattan for the next 6 years.  Those needs included the water plant, waste water plant, all city operated park and recreation facilities (pools, ball fields, zoo, and more..) airport facility, fire departments, streetscape lighting, tornado sirens, and more..

  After taking the block masters exam In December of 2000.  Dennis and Brian decided it was time to start their own company together.  For the next four months they spent many hours planning and deciding on many factors that go into starting a business.  Both had families to consider and leaving a steady 8:00 - 5:00 was risky.  They took the chance on May 1st, 2001 and now have a customer base of over 840 clients.  Many of their clients are from referrals.
